Actually Krip, the flash didn't seem to bother them at all, which I must admit surprised me. Wed 11-Feb-2004 17:04

Here are some of the better photographs taken whilst we were on holiday in the Cotwolds:

Note: NT property or NT owned means the property is looked after by the National Trust.

Nice part of the world, looks like you were lucky with the weather too. Cool! Fri 3-Oct-2003 09:56

Photographs of the latest landscaping project to take place in our garden. Photographs are before, during and after completion. It's looking better, now we only have the bottom quarter to a third to complete, but that will now have to wait for next year.

Thanks Laura, bu tI can't take all the credit, We told the landscaper what we wanted and he came up with the design and did all the heavy work. I'm afraid my back isn't up to loads of digging these days.

We did the border and original lawn and patio paving though. We left the building of the retaining walls to the exerts.

I should have added that we also laid the circular pation, gravel and brick surround of the patio in the foreground of some of the pictures too. Tue 9-Sep-2003 09:07

Here are a few photographs taken during our mini break in the English Lake District at the end of May 2003.

Picture 1 is the hotel where we stayed. Pictures 2 & 3 were taken on a circular walk from Grassmere around the two lakes: Grassmere & Rydal Water via Loughrigg Fell, to Rydal Mount and then back via Nab Scar. The distance was roughly 5 miles. Picture 4 was taken on the journey home when we stopped off at Sizergh Castle.

Ahhhh... you're in my old stomping ground, you lucky chap. Nice pix. Fri 22-Aug-2003 14:48
